Most of us don't like to talk about what happens in the bathroom. We’re here to change that. Being #PeeAware means knowing what’s normal for you, and knowing when to take action.
The Facts:
Are you suddenly dashing for the loo more than usual? Or do you feel a desperate urge to pee, even when your bladder isn't full?
Why it matters:
While often dismissed as "just getting older" or "drinking too much coffee," a significant change in how often or how urgently you need to pee can be an early warning sign of bladder cancer.
Your Next Steps:
Track it: For the next 24 hours, note down how many times you go.
Speak up: Book an appointment with your GP practice and ask for an urgent appointment, or call 111 if you can't get through to your surgery.
Tell them clearly:
"My urinary habits have changed significantly, and I’m concerned about my bladder health."
